Thank you for your interest in joining our team! Before you apply, please read this important information in its entirety, as it will help you know what to expect in this application process.

We are currently accepting applications for our 2024 season! While the exact dates are TBD, the season will likely start in mid-March and go through November.

We are currently interviewing experienced prep cooks, farm hands, and front of house staff.

Please familiarize yourself with our town, restaurant, and core values before you apply. In addition to the information and stories on our website, our cookbooks are a wonderful resource for learning about Hell’s Backbone Grill & Farm as they feature our origin and ongoing story as well as our recipes. You can purchase them here.

Some important things to note about working with us:

  • Restaurant experience is strongly preferred but not required. Equally important is that you are hard working, flexible, positive, and kind-hearted.

  • We prioritize applicants who can commit to the entirety of our 2024 season (March through November).

  • We also prioritize applications that either have been to Boulder/HBG or are able to come visit in the interview process - it’s hard to understand how remote it is here unless you’ve actually been here, and we want to set people up for success.

  • Boulder is extremely remote. This means you MUST have your own transportation (car or motorcycle).

  • Housing is hard to come by in Boulder. We currently have a room option available, so please let us know if you need housing when you apply.

  • We are not a vegetarian restaurant. If you are a vegetarian, you must be able to taste and talk in an informed way about the food we serve.

  • We require our staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19. You will have to show proof of vaccination in the interview process if you wish to be considered for a position with us.
